Achitex Minerva Spa carries on its own evolution developping the “SR” project, which initials identify the specific products for the screen printing field.
Under Minerva´s brand, our Group has always been present in this field and today, thanks to the experience gained during the years and the professionalism that distinguishes itself, it has been possible to widen its own range in order to meet the always more specific requests from customers and brands working in this field.
Our company offers to its customers a range of products suitable for serigraphy within the most important law, which provides for the absence of harmful substances such as PVC, phthalates, formaldehyde, etc..
The “SR” range borns today with new “cracking” effects, with more effective corrosion applications, with extremely soft elastic pastes, ready-to-use pastes that never dry during the process.
We will add soon other new products to this range, following trends and requests of the end users.

Achitex Minerva Spa obtained Gots (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification updating for a series of its pigments and auxiliaries.
Now Achitex Minerva Spa has the Gots Certification for a full system of printing at pigment, offering the possibility to its own customers to obtain the certification of their textiles products.
The international Gots certification wants to promote the quality of the textile products and garments in the safeguard of environment and protecting the health and safety of final consumers.

As result of a long row of activities that took place in the last 3 years, with the aim of offering to our Customers the best technical and commercial support, the widest range of products for any kind of application and for any need, the best integrated logistic service, starting from January 1st, 2010 the activities of Achitex Srl and Minerva Spa has been merged in a new Company named Achitex Minerva Spa.
The definitive integration of the two Companies has the mission of leading to the market the know-how and the expertise of decades of worldwide activity. A new range of products has been developed, for the hydro-/oleo-repellency of wooden surfaces.
The new range is composed by:
ACHIBUILD LA 17 (water based) for the hydro-repellent protection of wooden surfaces
ACHIBUILD LS 8 (solvent based) for the hydro-repellent protection of wooden surfaces
ACHIBUILD LA 17 PLUS (water based) for the hydro- and oleo-repellent protection of wooden surfaces
“Paints and varnishes – Coating materials and coating systems for exterior wood - Part 5: Assessment of liquid water permeability” tests, accordingly to UNI EN 927-5, are under evaluation by the certified Laboratory CATAS in Udine (Italy).

Minerva S.p.A announces that the range of MICRONIL series, pigment dispersions for water-based paints, has been widened to now include three new colours especially designed for outdoor use and which are weather-fast.

The main aim of this new business unit is to develop and promote spin finishes, overspray and lubricants, coning oils on the market for primary, secondary spinning and coning, as well as to offer the customers a flexible and reliable partner, one which is highly prepared to cater for National and International market needs.

GOTS Certification of Minerva products
GOTS Certification of Minerva products
Minerva has obtained certification according to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) for a range of pigments and auxiliaries. This international standard aims at providing a reliable assurance to the end consumer, by definining the requirements for the certification of organic textiles, starting from harvesting of the raw materials, through the entire production process, up to labelling of the final textile product.

REACH pre-registration completed
We confirme that all Achitex products will be commercialized in conformity to European Regulamentation 1907/2006 REACH.
For this purpose, we proceeded to the pre-registration of all chemical substances we produce or import, that are part of our formulations. At the same time, we required to our suppliers to pre-register all chemical substances they are supplying as raw material before December 1st, 2008.
We herewith confirm that actually all Achitex products do not contains SVHC substances (Substances of Very High Concern), as indicated in the "Candidate List" of ECHA.
For this purpose, we proceeded to the pre-registration of all chemical substances we produce or import, that are part of our formulations. At the same time, we required to our suppliers to pre-register all chemical substances they are supplying as raw material before December 1st, 2008.

The European Regulation 1907/2006/CE (a.k.a. REACH) modernizes the european legislation of chemical substances field, having as target a responsible use of the same, guaranteed by researches on environmental and human health impact and through an integrated registration, evaluation and authorization system controlled by the relevant Authority.
Starting from June 1st, 2008 and until December 1st, 2008, all Companies that produce and/or import chemical substances in quantity over 1 ton/year can proceed to pre-registration at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
Registration must be closed then during year 2010, 2013 or 2018 accordingly to quantity and hazard of chemical substances.
Achitex Group Companies has carefully followed the evolution of REACH Regulation and are actively do the best, in close cooperation with their supplier, to carry out the pre-registration of chemical substances under own responsibility, as single ones or as component of other formulations.

Opening of the new MINERVA and ALPHACOLOR site
On October 17, 2008 the new production plant and the new sales offices of Minerva S.p.A. and Alphacolor Due s.r.l. will be officially opened. Both new structures are located beside the existing Achitex Group site.
The foremost Authorities will attend, to remark the relevance of this new investment for the local and regional economy.

Building of the new production and logistics plant of the Achitex Group is on time.
The new 10,000 sq m. unit will house production of pigment dispersions, printing auxiliaries and specialties, a new warehouse, new offices and all the structures needed for the new size of the Achitex Group and for the growing requirements of its customers.
The Minerva division will move to the new site by August 2008, and will take advantage of modern and efficient machinery which will ensure the Achitex Group obtain better internal efficiency and as a result better customer service.

A NEW PRODUCTION LINE FOR THE ACHITEX GROUP
With a view to rationalising and optimising the Technical Assistance service, Laboratories and Production, building work has begun on a new site right next to current headquarters in Vaiano Cremasco.
Once completed, the new unit will cover 10,000 sq m. of the whole 33,000 sq m. site area, in addition to the existing 9,000 sq m. covered, and will ensure the most efficient reorganisation of the Group.
The new specially-designed multi-purpose unit have been created to greatly facilitate the Production, Logistics and Sales departments.

FINISHING ON DENIM
As a result of increased interest by denim producers in supplying manufacturers with a high quality garments ready for washing, ACHITEX Srl has begun work on developing these effects with coating and foaming techniques.
The outcome achieved ranges from shiny to sparkly, from metallic to pearly, from different nuances of indigo through to complete covering. Even more personalisation and variations to a ready made garment can be realised in subsequent treatments.

Minerva is launching a new series of pigment preparations called Minerstar to add sparkle motifs to material and to ready made garments.
Rather different from traditional glitter, the range of Minerstar tiny glass particles sparkle more finely and more noticeably especially when directly exposed to sunlight, as well as offer a much softer handle, better fastness and improved printability.
The range currently includes gold, silver, bronze, violet and turquoise.

A.chi.tex celebrates the important goal of 25 years of activity, that will be celebrated with an event to which will take part not only the all staff of A.chi.tex, but also our French branch Sicolor and the new acquired Minerva; therefore, this event will be an important occasion to know each other and exchange new experiences.

Carrying on the enlarging and diversification policy started in these last years, a new company has joined what we can call by now "A.chi.tex group". It is Minerva S.p.A., a world-famous leader in the pigment textile printing field with Minerprint trademark. In addition to the very wide product range, starting from the pigments, binders and thickeners, there are also the liquid dyestuffs for printing, such as vat and reactive ones and all the dye classes for dyeing.
